Continental Parasols

Continental Parasols are the stylish solution to summer shading problems in your garden. It's a parasol sunshade with a difference. The clever, cantilevered arm allows the sun parasol to be positioned wherever shade is required, giving much more flexibility than a traditional garden parasol fitted with a central pole. The design of the umbrella parasol incorporates an integrated turntable on the base, allowing it to rotate 300 degrees and shadow the movement of the sun.

3.5m diameter Uno parasol will provide over 8.5m2 (93 ft2) of cooling shade - but if you need a larger area covered, this does not pose a problem. The tough construction of Appeal's Continental Parasols - including the extruded aluminium mast - means that up to four parasols can be supported by a single pole. This gives an incredible 25m2 (270 ft2) of shade.

Of course, the changeable nature of the British climate means that Appeal Continental Parasols are likely to face some pretty miserable months outside. However, this is not a problem. Tested to withstand winds of up to 20 miles per hour, the base holds twelve 40cm (l) x 40cm (w) x 4cm (d) paving slabs, which act as a counterbalance. Furthermore, every sun parasol in the Appeal range can be put up and retracted within seconds, with the very minimum of effort. The small locking wheel simply has to be released and the gas spring does the rest. Once stowed, a protective cover fits neatly over the top, ensuring the parasol remains clean, dry and in perfect working order.

Available in eight stylish colours, the fabric is 100% solution-dyed acrylic (just like all Appeal Patio Awnings), meaning it is both water and fade-resistant. In addition, each sun parasol is also treated to ensure it shrugs off dirt.
