SOLAR ROOF INSERTS
This unique conservatory cooling systems reduces excessive heat, glare and harmful UV light. Solar film inserts reflect solar energy and keep the internal temperature cooler during hotter periods in summer and re-radiate internal heat during colder periods in winter, creating a warmer temperature and more comfortable environment.
With integral solar protection through roof heat reflection this prevents up to 80% of the sun’s solar energy from entering the conservatory, helping to maintain a comfortable internal temperature. The roof will also reduce glare by 80%, further increasing comfort levels in the conservatory. In winter, most of the heat lost escapes through the roof; with solar inserts installed in your roof, a large proportion of rising heat is radiated back into the room, helping to maintain comfortable temperatures and reducing heating costs.
Solar Inserts are an integrated part of the conservatory and so requires no additional cleaning or maintenance. It will provide effective solar protection for the lifetime of the polycarbonate(see guarantee). There is no need to install expensive internal blind systems (so there will be none of the cleaning problems associated with dust or dead flies) and the light roomy feel of the conservatory is maintained.
Solar Polycarbonate carries a 10 year limited warranty against weather breakage, loss of clarity and loss of solar rejection properties.
Strong and Durable
Solar Inserts combine strength and durability with excellent thermal insulation, while the high impact resistance of the material ensures long life. An integral ultraviolet light filter prevents the polycarbonate from yellowing with age and maintains optical clarity. The micro-thin polyester solar protector is highly reflective but allows natural light to penetrate, so the conservatory remains bright and airy.

With two colour combinations and four colour choices, Solar Inserts provides options to create your own ambiance. Choose standard silver for maximum light penetration into the conservatory. add a blue or green tint to your roof or select gold for maximum heat and glare rejection. As you can see from these before and after pictures we have turned this roof from two poly sheets to four poly sheets and upgraded from 20mm thickness to 35mm thickness which gives you extra heat retention in the winter and with the solar installed it will then reflect all harmful rays in the summer and keep much cooler.

Solar Filming Process
Firstly the glass is prepped and completely cleaned to apply the film.
Then in turn spread the film tightly and clear to the glass spreading over the whole panel. You can clearly see from the above photograhs of previous makeovers of the look that will be acheived.
Many of our happy clients have commented on the fact that their glass is no longer cold to touch in the winter when the film has been applied, which in turn would economically radiate the room.
